Major Responsibilities:

  • Actively consult and provide solutions related to workforce planning, talent and organizational changes to senior business leaders
  • Facilitate strategic discussions and develop forward-thinking solutions based on understanding of relevant business operations
  • Advise on the design and implementation of targeted HR programs
  • Coach and develop business leaders and emerging talent
  • Collaborate with the broader HR team in developing and executing people strategy
  • Champion organizational values and culture
  • In partnership with HR VP develop forward-thinking solutions based on understanding of relevant business operations and strategies

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Smart, direct, high-energy HR professional focused on enabling strategic decision making and resource allocation that will streamline and optimize the company's operations
  • Ability to "think strategically, act tactically" and operate effectively on both levels
  • An aerospace & defense background is not required, but an understanding of manufacturing and government contracting is helpful
  • A passion for, and track-record of success with the talent agenda
  • Experience building and managing high performing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and attract talent and to assess strengths, weaknesses and potential of new hires for various roles across the organization
  • Aptitude for identifying high potential or low performing team members and working with the leadership team to develop opportunities and next steps for each
  • Willingness to objectively make difficult talent-related decisions
  • Executing and leading in a change-oriented environment while driving transformation across teams, processes and technologies
  • Ability to work with business leaders to increase operational efficiency and service delivery, integrating recent innovations into existing systems and processes

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive and meaningful experience in Human Resources
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to interact successfully with all levels of the organization including senior management and key Human Resources team members
  • Strong relationship management experience, particularly collaborating and influencing while treating people with respect and dignity
  • Strong results orientation to exceed customer expectations
  • Thorough understanding of employee trends and best practices in successful growth-oriented organization
  • Strong Project Management and PC skills
  • Bachelor's degree required, Human Resources Management or related area is preferred
  • Master’s degree and SPHR certification preferred
