Susan Dunphy, CEO, Sr. Recruiter & Business Development

Susan Founded Grapevine Staffing in 2000 and is the current CEO. Susan’s history includes the establishment of AllStaff Medical, LLC. in 1994, a health care staffing agency in the Midwest which was acquired by Rehab Care in 1999. Before that, she had a HR Consulting Firm in California and earlier she was a Medical Software Trainer.

Her diverse background has allowed her to extend into multiple industries becoming a trusted advisor. Working with large global matrix organizations has allowed her to gain deep knowledge of lean principals and world-class business systems.

Susan specializes in search and placement of senior-level executives and marketing and sales professionals in all areas of Grapevines portfolio with a focus in Life Science, Diagnostics, Medical Device and Industrial Automation.

Jesse Frey, Recruiter

Information Technology, Computer Science

Having joined Grapevine 2008 as the IT recruiting lead, Jesse has an extensive background and in-depth knowledge of the IT field. He recruits for IT positions ranging from help desk through the director level. Jesse specializes in network architecture/engineering, virtualization, routing, enterprise servers and services, IBM mainframe, PBX and VOIP phone systems, project management, subversion, embedded hardware and more.

Sandy Thorsbakken, Recruiter

Having over 10 years of direct human resource experience, Sandy is an accomplished recruiter for Grapevine's manufacturing and material handling clients. She handles many disciplines with a focus on HR, plant managers, supervisors, project and product managers, sales and marketing while still placing top talent in other areas as well.

Sandy has experience working for large manufacturing and transportation & logistics organizations. She worked in unionized organizations, has her DDI certificate as an adult facilitator of leadership and workforce development, and has solid experience of all HR functions.

Tori Mateer, Recruiter

Tori joined our team after graduating from Iowa State University in 2016. She specializes in food and beverage companies, recruiting for all disciplines of manufacturing. One of Tori’s fame to claim is introducing great talent to rural companies, or bringing rural talent to large matrix organizations. Interesting facts about Tori; she is a high school volleyball coach and truly enjoys competing, coaching and teaching how to WIN.

Omo specializes in Drug Design/Drug Discovery, Microarrays (DNA, RNA) & PCR technologies, Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies, Molecular and Clinical Diagnostics, Oncology Assays, RUO/IUO/IVD/CE IVD Assays and IVD Products.

After receiving his MS & PhD in Chemistry, he spent his career in labs, scientific software for pharmaceutical, biotech and material science research, then moved into Global Marketing for Clinical Diagnostics, Microarrays and Molecular Diagnostics industries.

Sergei Ph.D

Life Science & Research Specialist

15+ years in Life Science and Diagnostics marketing experience.

As a Scientist and Project Leader Sergei brings a world of knowledge in the life science industry to Grapevine. He is responsible for senior management positions across all of Grapevine's Life Science, Diagnostics, R&D and Pharma business.

He is a person who knows the pharma analytical customer and is aware of challenges of bio therapeutic protein characterization. He has developed products targeting Bioprocessing and has worked with people around the global. His connections are immeasurable in the life science and analytical arena.

After receiving his MS & PhD in Biochemistry and BS Molecular Biology, he was a scientist for 8 years, then advanced into Product Development and R&D Project Management.

Dean Klovens, Senior Recruiter

Senior recruiter experienced in sourcing/candidate development/managing full-cycle recruiting. Dean identifies candidates for retained search and corporations.
